LGBTI
The LGBTI+Allies group has been running for over 3 years now at Clyde Valley High school. We meet regularly as a group, which is all very informal and a safe (and confidential) place for pupils who identify as LGBTI, everyone is welcome so friends and allies can come along too. Pupils are not under any pressure what so every to disclose their identity whatsoever, and you can come as often as you wish. We have chats about a wide variety of topics, believe me there is no set topic, pupils tend to come along and just have a wee blether. Occasionally teachers will consult on pupils’ opinions and we may plan events such as Purple Friday, which we have celebrated now for 3 years. If anyone would like to be added to the LGBTI+Allies team please contact either Miss Sneddon, Miss Barret, Miss Gibson or Miss Ferry.
We achieved or LGBTyouth Bronze Charter mark late August 2019 and we are about to embark on the journey to achieve the Sliver Charter mark.

We were fully intending celebrating Purple Friday this year, but due to the present circumstances this will need to be postponed. However, we are ready with badges and new flags for pupils and teachers to sign.
